NDP' 2009.

I havent been blogging for so long already.

Well, actually I just posted 2 weeks ago just that it wasn't published.
I just realised that I have a lot more drafts now than I used to have.
I also notice blogger doesn't have the font colour changing buttons anymore. Why?!
My post will look even duller now...
Edit: the buttons are back now.

Mom's going Batam with aunt, Aunty Lulu& family tomorrow morning.
She and aunt kept asking me to go.
Mummy said it'll give me a chance to unwind-temporary escape from my stupid stressful, depressing schoollife.
My aunt was so cute, she said, "ni bu yao gen wo qu, wo bu yao gen ni hao le.".
But in the end, I still decided not to go.
I shall not mention the reason here...people might think I'm mad.
If only I still had a maid...

Speaking of sucky schoollife,
the past few weeks in school were a killer.
On average, we have 2 tests every week on top of piles & piles of homework. )):
Plus, chemistry tests for this term made me so demoralised.
Organic chemistry sucks; my brain capacity is limited yet there's so much to memorise!
Ugh.
Before we had those tests, I thought it would perhaps be possible for me to achieve an A for Chemistry but now I'm not so sure anymore ):
So demoralising leh.

Sad things aside, we had National Day celebrations in school today.
I felt so short again!!
I guess when you people overlook the quadrangle, the railings will NEVER block your view.
I can imagine when someone looks up from below and sees only a head popping out.

Anyway, for the celebrations today, there were NDP songs plus quizzes and GM band playing live.
The songs part was pretty boring.
This year's celebration was different from previous years.
I think it was the rifle carrying part during the marching ceremony or whatever you call it and band march. I thought it was quite cool, right?
There was an NDP bag for us too.
Initially, I was contemplating whether to take it cause I don't think anyone at home would use it and it would look really awkward to be carrying 2 bags.
Then I thought I could let my mom use it for her trip tomorrow so I took it and stuffed into my own bag.
Then my own bag became so FAT and BULKY.
I thought about how people might think I'm mad to be carrying such a huge bag when I don't even have lessons today.

After school, J, K and I went to do CIP at the GE elderly HC centre.
How sad huh, CIP after NDP celebrations while everyone else went out to have fun.
Plus, I had to have tuition after that!!
I even dozed off while tuition-ing halfway, lol. I hoped my tuition teachers didn't spot me.

The CIP was okay except the polyclinic looked quite scary because of the H1N1 flu and all the workers there were donning on masks and all.
Oh yes, I managed to take a closer look at their masks and they were made of a styrofoam-like material which I thought looked better and more effective than those cloth/paper ones which sticks to your lips when you talk with them on.
The elderlys there were generally alright except some of them had dementia and kept asking for refill of their drinks.
The volunteers were quite pissed off with us when we asked them where the refill water was D:
Uhm, I thought some of the Ah-Mas were quite cute too.
It's like despite their age, they're still so bubbly.
One of them even sang to us!
Hahaha.

So yeah, that sums up my day(:
